Al-Namrood - Kitab Al Awthan - Reviewed By OccultBlackMetalZine ! Check it out here at this link: http://occultblackmetalzine.blogspot.com/2021/06/alnamroodkitab-al-awthanshaytan.html This  is  a  review  of  an  older  recording  from  Saudi  Arabia's  AlNamrood  which  shows  the  music  being  black  metal  mixed  in  with  elements  of  oriental  folk  music  and  the  album was  originally  released  in  2021  by  Shaytan  Productions  and  is  going  to  be  re-issued  on vinyl  in  2021  by  Shaytan  Productions.   A  very  epic  keyboard  orientated  sound  starts  off  the  album  which  also  mixes  in  with  the  heavier  sections  of  the  music  at  times.  When  guitar  solos  and  leads  are  utilized  they  are  also  done  in  a  very  dark  and  melodic  style  while  elements  of  oriental  and  arabic  folk  music  are  also  utilized  quite  a  bit  throughout  the  recording.   Vocals  are  mostly  grim  yet  high  pitched  black  metal  screams  while  some  of  the  tracks  are  also  long  and  epic  in  length.  When  the  music  speeds  up  a  decent  amount  of  tremolo  picking  and  blast  beats  can  be  heard  which  also  gives  the  songs  more  of  a  raw  feeling  along  with the  percussion  also  giving  the  songs  more  oa  a  tribal  atmosphere  when  they  are  utilized.   The  riffs  also  add  in  a  decent  amount  of  melody  along  with  the  songs  also  sticking  mostly  to  either  a  slow  or  mid  tempo  direction  as  well  as  the  tracks  also  mixing  in  Nordic  influences  with  an  Arabic  twist  on  the  genre.  The  production  sounds  very  dark  and  raw  while  the  lyrics  are  written  in Arabic  and  cover  Ancient  History,  Evil,  Darkness  and  Anti  Religion  themes.   In  my  opinion  this  is  another  great  sounding  recording  from  AlNamrood  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  black  metal  with  elements  of  oriental  folk  music,  you  should  check  out  this  re-issue.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Min  Trab  Al  Jahel"  "Kiram  Al  Nataiaa"  and  "Bani  Le  em".  8  out  of  10. - OccultBlackMetalZine FFO - Batushka, Krzysztof Drabikowski, Mgła Originally released in 2012 by Al-Namrood, this album is now coming out for the first time on vinyl on July 21 2021 in its original sound. The vinyl will be limited to 300 with 200 being black and 100 being splatter orange/black.  That (Black) Metal has found its way into the most remote places in the world is nothing new. Saudi Arabia, however, is still a specialty, after all, it is certainly no picnic to produce such music in an Islamic state of God. Nonetheless, curious and open-minded listeners of extreme musical styles should risk an ear, because AL-NAMROOD is definitely well thought-out - Metal.de Offers a lot more than Black Metal with a few oriental sprinkles. Here, too, the black art is coherently interwoven with Arabic rhythms and melodies, creating a very unique sound from which the Norwegian roots rarely emerge. The mixture turns out to be extremely catchy and atmospherically gripping, and works in both mid-tempo and faster pace. - Powermetal.de I wish I could tell you what the song titles mean, but my Arabic is a little rusty. But I can tell you what they sound like. They sound like a massive sandstorm sweeping across the Arabian peninsula. - No Clean Singing That's presumably because it's a lot easier to be in an anti-Christian metal band in the US, than in an anti-Islamic metal band in Saudi Arabia. In America, your obstacles extend to overhearing your mom tell a friend you're just "going through a phase." In Saudi Arabia, you face social ostracism and the possibility of imprisonment or death. - Vice News Released January 20, 2012 Kitab Al Awthan by Al-Namrood Also be sure to check out this video!
