It could be interpreted as mans eternal struggle against death and the constant suppression of it in the mind, which wreaks havoc on the individual. Bio: Sorrow Enthroned is a one man extreme metal act birthed from woods of New England which takes elements of melodic black metal, death metal, and brutal death metal to create a sound unnerving and hostile to the enemies of free spirits. CASSIUS KING Release Video For Cleopatra's Needle - Featured At Arrepio Producoes! - @thebeast

CASSIUS KING Release Video For Cleopatra's Needle - Featured At Arrepio Producoes ! Check it out here at this link: https://www.arrepioproducoes.com.br/noticias/?n=yHXVGugR50 CASSIUS KING Jason McMaster Vocals Ron Lipnicki drums Jimmy Schulman bass Dan Lorenzo guitars Fresh off of releasing their debut album Field Trip on California's Nomad Eel Records yesterday, Cassius King have just released their first full length video for the song Cleopatra's Needle. The video was produced by Jason C. Stewart who also produced the Last Ride and Torture King videos off the last Vessel Of Light album.  "Jason has become my go-to-guy the last year and a half." said guitarist Dan Lorenzo. "His enthusiasm is off the charts and at this point I let him to whatever he wanted for Cleopatra's Needle and I think it's just as much fun to watch as it is to listen to". Overkill's Bobby Blitz commented It's really  great, I even commented, which I never do .. .  "epic" got such an old school doom vibe, but never bores ...love the journey! Previous Cassius King press release below Former HADES founding member Dan Lorenzo has been using the CASSIUS KING moniker for years. From his debut  solo album to his endless cover song CDs with various lead vocalists. But it wasn't until 2021 when Lorenzo decided to  make an all original album with vocalist Jason McMaster ( WATCHTOWER/DANGEROUS TOYS/BROKEN TEETH/HOWLING SYCAMORE/IGNITOR ). Lorenzo released four albums in three years with his doom band VESSEL OF LIGHT when Coronavirus prevented any more live shows. "I had music to probably eight or nine more songs after VOL released Last Ride", Lorenzo said. "I didn't think the world was ready for a fifth Vessel Of Light album when we couldn't even play shows to support Last Ride. Jason sang multiple Cassius King cover songs with me and I had some music that was maybe a bit more like Hades plus a bluesy song I sent off to Jason. I was shocked how quickly Jason wrote and sang the first few songs so I recorded a few more brand new tunes. I asked Jason if he needed any help with melodies and he told me he did not. Jason said he could use some lyrical ideas though. I told that to Jimmy Schulman (Hades/Vessel Of Light) and he and Jason ended up collaborating lyrically on three songs." Schulman commented, "When Dan mentioned Jason needed some lyrical ideas, I was excited to be part of that process. Jason and I came at it a few different ways. Sometimes it was just texting back-and-forth with a line or two at a time until it took on shape. Another time, a long poem was crafted into a song. However it went though, it proved to be a cool and interesting collaboration." So what kind of music is the debut CASSIUS KING album Field Trip? Traditional heavy metal? Doom?  McMaster stated, "It was the kind of material I had been wanting to do for a long time. It feels a bit like Ozzy and Dio playing poker over some left over Sabbath material. The melodies came to me quickly, as well as some of the lyrics. Things I already had fit the visions I had upon first listen and it all flowed immediately. I would not call it a full "doom" application of terms, but, its heavy, it reminds me of what I love about Sabbath and Dio songs". Drummer Ron Lipnicki ( former Overkill current Vessel Of Light)said, "I think this new album's got something for everyone it's like the fruits all line up on the slot machine." That includes fans of Hades seminal release Resisting Success as Scott LePage plays leads on the songs I Move With The Moon and King of Lies. Cassius King Field Trip will feature cover art by Claudio Bergamin ( Judas Priest Firepower) . Nomad Eel Records have already released a vinyl single by Cassius King. Field Trip is out now Field Trip by Cassius King

METAL CHURCH Singer MIKE HOWE Dead At 55 - @thebeast

ICYMI: METAL CHURCH   singer   Mike Howe   has died at the age of 55. No cause of death has been revealed. The news of   Howe 's passing was broken by   METAL CHURCH   in a social media post this evening. The band wrote: "It is with our deepest regrets that we must announce the passing of our brother, our friend and true legend of heavy metal music.   Mike Howe   passed away this morning at his home in Eureka, California. We are devastated and at a loss for words. Please respect our privacy and the   Howe   family's privacy during this most difficult time." Howe , who fronted   METAL CHURCH   from 1988 until 1994, officially rejoined the band in April 2015. The reunion between   Mike   and   METAL CHURCH   was put in motion in July of 2014 when   Mike   started working with guitarist   Kurdt Vanderhoof   on a side project   Kurdt   was forming with   Nigel Glockler   from   SAXON . Through these initial conversations,   Kurdt   convinced   Mike   to ultimately return to   METAL CHURCH . The idea was to see if they could recapture some of the magic from the three albums   METAL CHURCH   released in the late '80s:   "The Human Factor" ,   "Blessing In Disguise"   and   "Hanging In The Balance" . Out of those sessions, 2016's   "XI"   was born and captured the sound that made the band fan favorites in the '80s and mixed it with a new, invigorated sound. During the making of the   "XI"   album,   Mike   stated about his return to   METAL CHURCH : " Kurdt Vanderhoof   got ahold of me in August of 2014, and he proposed [me] coming back to the band. He said   Ronny   [ Munroe ] left the band and he didn't really wanna carry on with   METAL CHURCH   unless maybe I would consider coming back. So I said, 'Well, I don't know. I'm open to it. But let's see what kind of music we can come up with.' So   Kurdt   went back to the studio and started writing songs in the vein of   'Hanging In The Balance' , where we left off twenty years ago, and he sent them to me over the Internet. And I was, like, 'Damn! The guy still has it and he's doing great work.' So he sent me another batch, and that batch was just as good [as], if not better than, the other. So, from there, I said, ‘Well, I can’t say no to this. And let's just see how it goes.' And we started writing lyrics and getting together, and it's now morphed into this, being back in Aberdeen in the studio making the new   METAL CHURCH   record." METAL CHURCH 's latest release was   "From The Vault" , which arrived in April 2020 via   Rat Pak Records . The effort was a special-edition compilation album that featured 14 previously unreleased songs from the   Howe   era, including four newly recorded studio tracks, among them a redux of the band's fan favorite classic   "Conductor" . In a 2018 interview with   Sticks For Stones   promoting 2018's   "Damned If You Do"   LP,   Mike   stated about the 20-year gap between his stints in the band: "I lived my life just like everybody else. I was a carpenter/builder, and I raised two boys. Out of the blue, I got a call from   Kurdt , and he invited me back. At first, I was apprehensive — I was happy to be retired [from music]; I had a great career and [was] very grateful for what I had — but because he's an old friend, I was open to listening to his proposition. We had long talks — a lot of talks — about how the music industry had changed, and how file-sharing was making it more possible to live in different areas and have family life and not cutting into your personal time as much. With the advent of technology in that way, it really helps facilitate being in a band. We just started with writing the record, because I said, 'I'm not coming back to   METAL CHURCH   for nostalgia's sake. If I'm going to do this, I want to make sure we can write music just as good, if not better, than what we were doing before.' We took baby steps and started writing some songs... if we like the way it sounds, we keep it; if we don't, we move on. We do that a few times until we had a good amount of songs, and we really liked what we were doing, so we put it out. That went well, and I said, 'Okay, I'm ready to go on the road with that.' [ 'Damned If You Do' ], we took the same philosophy, and we're very happy with the end result." Howe   is not the first singer of   METAL CHURCH   to die.   David Wayne   passed away in May 2005 from complications following a car crash. He was 47 years old. Wayne   sang on   METAL CHURCH 's first two classic offerings (1984's   "Metal Church"   and 1986's   "The Dark" ) before leaving the group and being replaced by   Howe . Via Blabbermouth It is with our deepest regrets that we must announce the passing of our brother, our friend and true legend of heavy... Posted by   Metal Church   on  Monday, July 26, 2021

New Promo: The New Bardots - On Our Own - (Rock N Roll) - @thebeast

ICYMI: Release Date June 18th 2021 FFO: The Rolling Stones, Aerosmith, Led  Zeppelin Coming back together from their early roots in the NYC music scene (CBGB's, Max's Kansas City, China Club) to write and record together again, Gar Francis, Wayne Olivieri, Dan Skye, new drummer Johnny Rago and keyboard player John Croot are five New Jersey veterans out to save Rock and Roll from extinction! www.thenewbardots.com Check out the new video! Biography THE NEW BARDOTS ARE ON A MISSION TO KEEP ROCK AND ROLL ALIVE! Lead guitarist and songwriter of The Doughboys, Gar Francis couldn't stand listening to the contemporary radio shows filled with pop, hip hop, trap and the likes. Where has the rock and roll gone? Time for a mission: he called in Wayne Olivieri, longtime friend and ex bandmate with The Rockids and "one of the most charismatic singer/frontman in a long time" - in the words of Rock and Roll HALL of Fame and Songwriter Hall Of Fame Member Eddie Brigati from the Rascals. Wayne could never possibly decline such a call: his entire life had been devoted to rock and roll. Starting as a musician at a very young age, by the time Wayne was 17 he and Gar were playing full time with their band Rockids in New York City clubs like CBGB's, Max's Kansas City, The Limelight,The Village Gate on the same bill as The Ramones, The Talking Heads, Blondie. After two years the duo parted ways, Gar formed his own successful band and continued to perform and write songs and draw crowds wherever he performed. In the 1980s Francis wrote a song called "Baby, It's You" for the band Ricochet and did session work as a guitar player on Billy Idol's recorded version of "Mony, Mony". Wayne continued performing up and down the East Coast with the newly formed Rockids. After a few years the Rockids disbanded, Wayne moved to Asbury Park NJ and started Oliver’s Twist , performing at the legendary club The Stone Pony. It was there where he met and became good friends with John Bongiovi (Jon Bon Jovi).  Check them out on Spotify and add them to your playlists! Wayne and Jon stayed friends for many years and performed together on several occasions. He became a regular at The Stone Pony, where he rocked the stage with acts like David Johansson, Huey Lewis, Southside Johnny, Cindy Lauper, Beaver Brown, Rick Derringer, Billy Idol. During his life, Wayne have performed with some of the biggest rockstars in the world, including Bruce Springsteen. Back to these doomed times, when good old rock and roll seems to have been relegated to an euphemistically unfair underground, The New Bardots embarked the quest to “Help save rock and roll from extinction“ enrolling also Dan Skye, with whom Olivier was playing back in the 80s in a band called “Olivier’s Twist” and the drummer Johnny Rago. Heavily inspired by the roots of rock and roll, in 2018 the new band sign with the New Jersey-based label Bongo Boys Records and release their first single "Great Balls of Fire", taking one of Rock and Rolls most classic tunes and making it their own. One year later, on May 31th of 2019 The New Bardots present, with a special live show at the legendary Stone Pony, their first LP "French Kisses". Three singles and videoclips are extracted from French Kisses: Great Balls of Fire, Change Reaction and Gone for the Weekend. After recording French Kisses The Band focused on performing live and decided to recruit Keyboardist John Croot, whom Wayne was friends and band mates with, in a popular show band called Little Jimmy & The Starlites. During the global lockdown of 2020 the Rock and Roll mission is still alive and kicking! Profoundly touched by the human drama and heroic efforts of those who risk their own lives out there, Wayne and Gar write "We're in this together", a "feel good" and uplifting tribute to all the healthcare professionals who are on the front lines making a difference and also to everyone who needs a little encouragement to get through their situation. "We're in this together" is released in free download by Bongo Boy Records on April, 20th 2020. On May 8th 2020 The New Bardots release the EP "Already Been Chewed (A Return to Bubblegum)": 3 remakes of old hit "Bubble Gum" songs from the 1960's and two new original songs, followed by the Christmas single "If Santa Claus Were President" first with the Italy-based label I Cuochi Music Company. After a few months in the studio working on new music, The NEW Bardots make their come back in April 2021 with a rock and fast paced remake of the 1969 hit "In The Year 2525", followed - two months later by the original song "On Our Own". Written by Wayne Olivieri and Gar Francis, "On Our Own" is an uptempo rock n roll track which was originally meant to be the theme song for a new American sitcom about the working class.  "Wayne's one of the most charismatic singer I've seen in a long time. When he's on stage he doesn't let you not pay attention." Eddie Brigati (The Rascals) "Electrifying! That's how I would describe my reaction to seeing The New Bardots' Live show. The repertoire is filled with energetic, groove filled songs. The musicianship is tight and exciting. And the personalities are explosive and contagious to watch. Complete, electrified enjoyment." White Crone - Stargazer (Rainbow Cover Featuring Vinny Appice) - Featured At Planet Mosh Spotify! - @thebeast

White Crone - Stargazer (Rainbow Cover Featuring Vinny Appice) - Featured At Planet Mosh ! Check it out here at this link: https://planetmosh.com/planetmosh-spotify-playlist-july-2021-new-releases/ Traditional metal recording artist White Crone recorded Rainbow ’s beloved “ Stargazer ” in honor of the memory of Ronnie James Dio and bassist Jimmy Bain .   White Crone 's " Stargazer " features Dio drummer Vinny Appice , Blues Rock guitarist Alastair Greene , keyboardist Eric Lawrence , and Lisa Mann (aka White Crone ) on bass & vocals. The single was released on July 9, 2021, a day before Dio’s birthday, and is only available in digital format at www.whitecrone.com or on your favorite streaming platform.  Award-winning blues artist Lisa Mann shocked her fans when she released a full length traditional metal album in 2020, The Poisoner.  The album received much critical acclaim from underground metal outlets worldwide, with many comparing her voice to that of Ann Wilson and Ronnie James Dio.  In 2021, Lisa began cooking up a plan to record a cover of Rainbow's epic Dio-fronted song, "Stargazer."  Fellow blues artist Alastair Greene shares a love for all things old-school metal and rock, and agreed to lend his guitar playing prowess to the song.  On keyboards, Lisa enlisted the help of Eric Lawrence, who played progressive rock with her back in her earliest years as a working musician.  And to fill out the line-up, none other than Dio/ Black Sabbath drummer Vinny Appice filled the percussion chair.  All musicians tracked remotely, and the final takes were taken to Opal Studio where engineer Kevin Hahn recorded Lisa's vocals and mixed and mastered the entire song. Check it out below! White Crone's "Stargazer" is even longer and more self-indulgent than the original, clocking in at almost nine minutes in length.  The extended outro features soaring vocals, impassioned drum and bass guitar interplay, and an extended outro of duetting guitar and keyboard. Ghost Cult Magazine (US) says "Mann covered Rainbow's classic “Stargazer” in an epic performance of the track, befitting the legend."  White Room Reviews (NL) says Lisa Mann's vocals "do justice to the original. Industrial Band CONTROVERSIAL Drops Visualizer For The Track, "Violence" - @thebeast

ICYMI: July 2, 2021 - Belgian industrial band CONTROVERSIAL has just dropped the visualizer for their song, "Violence."  The track appears on CONTROVERSIAL's most recent Cleopatra Records release, Second Genesis. The song, "Violence" is based on a documentary from the 1990s about human violence.  As far as motivation is concerned, CONTROVERSIAL deals with the darker side of humanity. Violence is of course up there and we refer also to war as the culmination of violence. We do it from the position of a spectator outside of humanity. For fans of: SKREW & MINISTRY "There's aesthetic/sound inspirations like for instance using social commentary samples (like Ministry for instance). These are mainly represented by songs on social and political themes. There are also themes that evoke an emotional reaction, like anger, frustration and hate. Then there are "streams of consciousness" songs, where we don't really have a concrete theme, but we open ourselves up to what comes naturally while we mentally associate with certain feelings and themes. Lastly, since we are a "left hand path" band, themes of that philosophy are to be found in our lyrics, like the importance of the ego and the emancipation of the "self". - Bart - (CONTROVERSIAL) Buy/Stream CONTROVERSIAL Now

METAL CHURCH Singer MIKE HOWE Dead At 55 - @thebeast

METAL CHURCH   singer   Mike Howe   has died at the age of 55.

STEVIE R PEARCE AND THE HOOLIGANS ANNOUNCE NEW ALBUM - @thebeast

FYI: Having sat on the Hooligans 2nd album for over a year, and rescheduling twice,  Heavy Rocka Recordings  have unveiled the release date as 28th August 2021 to coincide with the band’s debut performance at  Hard Rock Hell Sleaze  at the 02 Academy in Sheffield. Stevie R Pearce  is an experienced performer, globally, locally, and probably in your front room. If there’s a glam rock icon he hasn’t toured with, then lord knows who they are. He has stood in the shadows, and at some point or another has probably given you the best night of your life – you just didn’t know who he was! Describing himself as having a foot in the gutter, the other on the sidewalk,  Stevie  is better known perhaps (depending on whether you’ve just found him or not) for his endeavors in  Jizzy Pearl ’s latest incarnation of  Love/Hate,  his work in  Warrior Soul , and as original hellraiser of the  Black Bullets . Major League Son of a Bitch  will be released on all the usual digital platforms, CD and Vinyl – which will follow on after the release date due to delays in the Vinyl manufacturing industry. Industrial Band CONTROVERSIAL Drops Visualizer For The Track, "Violence" - @thebeast

July 2, 2021 - Belgian industrial band CONTROVERSIAL has just dropped the visualizer for their song, "Violence."  The track appears on CONTROVERSIAL's most recent Cleopatra Records release, Second Genesis.

Avoid Humanity is the first band to play live at Dracula’s Castle (Bran Castle) - @thebeast

FYI: Romania’s premier deathcore band, Avoid Humanity, is the the first metal band ever to play live at the infamous Bran Castle, famously portrayed as Dracula’s Castle in Bram Stoker’s novel. The video is available on Audiotree Live. “The pandemic disproportionately affected the music industry and we wanted to do something to feel alive, so we decided to play in these special places. We never expected to be able to play Bran Castle or the Museum of Recent Art in Bucharest, as they are pretty upscale venues for a metal band. So huge thanks to open minded people who gave us an unexpected lifeline” said Vlad the Impaler drummer. Please visit Bran Castle and check out their social media pages:  http://www.castelulbran.ro/ & https://www.facebook.com/BranDraculasCastle Avoid Humanity’s debut album, Apex of Impurity, was considered one of the breakout releases of the Romanian underground metal scene. By blending old school death metal with the energy of modern hardcore, they are considered one of the top metal bands of Romania. New Promo: Ben Sollberger Project - I Hate To Say - (Modern Hard Rock) - @thebeast

FFO: Poets of the Fall, H.I.M., Queensrÿche Released March 19, 2021 Have you ever wondered what makes a good song? Chances are you have not. If it fits your style and you can enjoy the music, then why bother? Fair enough. But of course, songwriters care about this question. Indeed, it was the very starting point of the Ben Sollberger Project. Ben is a musician and songwriter from Bern in Switzerland who has been playing in bands for 28 years. In early 2018, when he went out often at weekends, Ben noticed that the music the DJs played was quite diverse. But no matter if it was pop, rock, or hard rock, the songs were usually hits from the past 50 years. Watching the crowd enjoy the music, Ben began to ask himself: Are there are any characteristics good songs share, irrespective of musical style? After having pondered on this question for quite some time, Ben decided to approach writing in a new way. He put the song first and stopped caring about musical styles or band images. He wrote lyrics that reflect his personal experiences, as in “Lost in Translation” or “Legends Never Really Die” (which he wrote when he learned of the passing of guitar God Eddie van Halen). He looked out for catchy song titles and a good melody for them, such as in “Whenever There is Love”. Also, Ben started writing songs based on musical motives inspired by some of his legends, such as in “I Hate to Say” or “Breaking Free” (Can you guess the inspiration?). Ben enjoys his musical freedom, recording the songs all by himself in his studio. And he hopes you enjoy his songs. Check out these videos!      Check him out on Spotify and add him to your playlists!   Follow Ben at these links: https://www.facebook.com/bernhard.sollberger https://www.youtube.com/user/SuperBernardoful/featured https://music.apple.com/us/album/i-hate-to-say/1556687778 https://open.spotify.com/album/2qjuPOBKLOileAsLZbmQVN https://www.deezer.com/us/album/212466832 https://www.amazon.de/dp/B08XZR379D

The story as life’s pressures has its ups and downs but that’s reality and that is what you get with this album. Songs, lyrics, and guitars that tell of your own true self! Reality that pressures exist, and you can either lay down and be run over or stand strong and conquer. Life is never easy but PRESSURE provides the tools to help you on your journey! The Shadow knows the path as he walks with you and sees it all! He will guide you on your path into the realm of life’s pressures! You fall to your knees, whispering along the breeze, but the waves do not even reach you. You reach out to the stars, but they move further away. You swim and swim, but you drown until you decide to rise from the waters. Lit by the moon, you glisten in glory as you see me reflected on the sands you once hated. Unlike the waves that ignore, my support outpours. Unlike the stars that turn back, I’ll keep you safe from the pack of wolves that desire to devour you and have you gated. I am your Shadow, and this is my path. A journey that starts with you and concludes our wraths. They say ignorance is bliss, but I say to know is better than to dismiss. Now hear me! The Band: Who are Pressure I hear you ask? Well if you had to tag them with a genre the one that fits best is a ‘melodic rock’ but they’re so much more than that. Hailing from Stockholm, Sweden and with vocalist Olof Jönsson you can always guarantee soaring, athletic and committed vocals.  Together with a twin guitar sound coming from songwriter and lead guitarist Simon “Siirpo” Forsell and Emil Salling. Their work often focuses and embraces the pressures felt from everyday existence. Their lyrics ably demonstrating that there are two sides to every story - the good and the bad. Every song has a double meaning and they truly see music as a tool to handle the different pressures thrown at us from the modern world.     The band began their journey together in 2018, and since then they’ve worked tirelessly developing their sound and live performance, their aim? To make memories with their fans and to an epic musical soundtrack.    A quote that can summarize their lyrics is: “How can you tell a story about life if you haven’t dared to live life to its fullest!   Pressure is all about every story, every moment, every Pressure! “They are pioneering what they are calling Story Metal, which is combining heavy metal with elements of melodic rock, with a lot of focus on vocals in way to convey a story within their songs,” -FIRST ANGEL MEDIA Listen to the band at these links:   Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/artist/7a9rKp03MYJv4leDN7Mm8k   YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/c/Pressuresweden                                  Follow the band at these links: Website http://www.pressure.band/  Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/pressuresweden/  Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/pressuresweden  Twitter: https://twitter.com/pressuresweden

CASSIUS KING release video for Cleopatra's Needle - @thebeast

CASSIUS KING Jason McMaster Vocals Ron Lipnicki drums Jimmy Schulman bass Dan Lorenzo guitars Fresh off of releasing their debut album Field Trip on California's Nomad Eel Records yesterday, Cassius King have just released their first full length video for the song Cleopatra's Needle. RISE AGAINST share acoustic version of “Nowhere Generation" feat. Meg Myers - @thebeast

Rise Against have shared a new acoustic version of their soaring, impassioned rock hit “Nowhere Generation,” featuring vocals by Meg Myers, alongside a new video. The song—a stripped back take of the punchy original that has maintained its chart position at #2 at Rock for three weeks in a row and rose this week to #8 at Alternative radio—is the title track of Rise Against’s latest album, which debuted at the top of multiple Billboard charts with its first week sales (#1 on Rock, #3 on Top Current Albums, #3 on Vinyl, and the Top 40 of the Top 200). “When we released the acoustic version of ‘Nowhere Generation,’ we found that it really connected with a lot of people,” says Tim McIlrath of Rise Against. “We heard from a lot of unique and beautiful voices, and we knew that we needed to add another beautiful, unique voice to this song. Meg was the perfect choice and we are thrilled with how it all turned out.” “When Rise Against asked me to sing on ‘Nowhere Generation,’ I felt an instant connection to the song. There is a power and a purity about this song that is so healing and unifying,” explains Myers. “It’s the voice of a younger generation who feels unheard. I feel it is so important right now for our consciousness evolution, and for society to take a look around and ask ourselves, ‘who are we, what are we doing here, where are we going and why?’” Rise Against will head out on a month-long U.S. tour next week in support of Nowhere Generation, joined by Descendents and The Menzingers, and beginning with a string of sold out shows in Cleveland, New York, and Asbury Park. A current itinerary is below. On their new album, released June 4th via Loma Vista Recordings, the multi-Gold and Platinum band draws a line in the sand with its blazing and aggressive punk rock and lyrics that shine a spotlight on the social and economical deck that has been stacked against our younger generations’ pursuit of The American Dream. Nowhere Generation has been earning the band great press from outlets including Revolver, Consequence, Brooklyn Vegan, Grammy.com, American Songwriter, The Line of Best Fit, Clash, Kerrang!, and All Music, while June 4th was declared “Rise Against Day In Chicago,” the band’s original hometown. Last week, Rise Against also announced the Nowhere Generation graphic novel, which sees the band teaming up with writer Shaun Simon (True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys, Electric Century) and artists Sally Cantirino, Val Halvorson, Huseyin Ozkan, Soo Lee, and more to be announced, due out this October via Z2 Comics. Meg Myers' latest releases – 2020's acclaimed Thank U 4 Taking Me 2 The Disco and I’d Like 2 Go Home Now EPs – represented the LA rocker's first new music since the blockbuster success of her chart-topping cover of Kate Bush’s 1985 classic, “Running Up That Hill.” Originally performed in an NPR Tiny Desk Concert, the track made history earlier this year by ascending to #1 on Billboard’s “Alternative Songs” airplay chart 42 weeks after its official March 2019 release – the longest trip to the top in the chart’s three-decade history. What’s more, “Running Up That Hill” also reached #1 on Billboard’s “Rock Airplay” chart in its 29th week, tying for the third-longest climb to the peak position in that tally’s own 10-year history. “Running Up That Hill” is joined by an official animated video, created in partnership with the L.A.-based non-profit, Heart of Los Angeles (HOLA), and now has close to 7M individual views at Myers’ official YouTube channel. Myers is currently writing her next record. “Nowhere Generation” featuring Meg Myers single artwork Rise Against tour dates: July 27 - Cleveland, OH @ Beachland Ballroom * (SOLD OUT) July 30 - New York, NY @ Rooftop at Pier 17 * (SOLD OUT)  July 31  - Asbury Park, NJ @ Stone Pony Summer Stage * (SOLD OUT) Aug 1 - Philadelphia, PA @ Skyline Stage at The Mann * Aug 3 -  Baltimore, MD @ MECU Pavilion ** Aug 4 - Charlotte, NC @ Charlotte Metro Credit Union Amphitheatre ** Aug 6 - Atlanta, GA @ Tabernacle ** Aug 7 - St. Augustine, FL @ St. Augustine Amphitheatre ** Aug 9 - Birmingham, AL @ Avondale Brewing Company ** Aug 10 - New Orleans, LA @ The Fillmore ** Aug 12 - Houston, TX @ Bayou Music Center ** Aug 13 - Austin, TX @ Stubb's Waller Creek Amphitheater ** (SOLD OUT) Aug 15 - Dallas, TX @ South Side Ballroom ** Aug 17 - Phoenix, AZ @ Arizona Federal Theatre** Aug 18 - Paso Robles, CA @ Vina Robles **  Aug 20 - Las Vegas, NV @ The Chelsea at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas ^ Aug 21 - Irvine, CA @ Five Point Amphitheatre, ** Aug 22 - San Francisco, CA @ The Masonic ** Aug 24 - Salt Lake City, UT @ The Complex Outdoor ** Aug 27 - Maryland Heights, MO @ Saint Louis Music Park **   Aug 28 - Northerly Island, Chicago, IL @ Huntington Bank Pavilion **  * Descendents ** Descendents and The Menzingers ^  The Menzingers

STEVIE R PEARCE AND THE HOOLIGANS ANNOUNCE NEW ALBUM - @thebeast

ICYMI: Having sat on the Hooligans 2nd album for over a year, and rescheduling twice,  Heavy Rocka Recordings  have unveiled the release date as 28th August 2021 to coincide with the band’s debut performance at  Hard Rock Hell Sleaze  at the 02 Academy in Sheffield.
