ALBUM REVIEW
This album rips open with organs that remind me of King Diamond’s first album after leaving Merciful Fate “fatal portrait” mixed in with a heavy production similar to Children of Bodom. Thrashing with symphonic and blackened death riffs, which also harken back to bands like Dissection? The twin guitar harmonies accompanied by the keyboards are really something any fan of Children of Bodom will like but at the same time if you ever felt like the keyboards in Bodom’s music was overbearing at all, it is not here. It is done with just enough atmospheres to make this album sound like what Dimmu Borgir and Cradle of Filth would have sounded like in the early years if they would have had better studio production. The vocals are a good mix of Black Metal and Swedish Death Metal styles (imagine if you could hear Dark throne vocals clearly). The vocals and guitars dance well together with the harmonies but not in a cheesy way, it’s more like they are all one instrument. The drums and bass are tight and never loose time, fast enough to satisfy any blast beat freak but not so much that it is overkill. Lots of time changes and dynamics keep this record sounding fresh with each track change.

Overall I give this record a 7/10 – The Zach Moonshine Show

Blastomycosis - Covered In Flies And Afterbirth - Review

Blastomycosis Covered In Flies and Afterbirth Ok if you like Dying Fetus you are going to masturbate vigorously to the blast beats of this brutal fucking shit until your genitalia is bleeding profusely! Make no doubt this album is crushing from start to finish but it has the grooves mixed in as well, definitely good driving music if you plan on running over pedestrians grand theft auto style on a rampage from hell. Song titles like Cream of Rotting Cunt, Blood Soaked Fetus Fornication and Claw Hammer Hysterectomy give you an idea of what to expect. What I didn’t expect was to learn this band includes a female vocalist! Just give it a listen, you will not be disappointed! I give it a 7/10 Zach Moonshine and Metal Devastation Radio

MEPHORASH “1557 – Rites Of Nullification"

MEPHORASH “1557 – Rites of Nullification"
Mephorash – Rites of Nullification
Ok right off the bat I can tell you this is some blackened (and I mean really black) death metal!
If you are a fan of Behemoth, Belphegor or Nightbringer you are going to love this! These tracks whip around you like a hurricane of twisted souls, demons and just black matter.  You really feel like the lights dim in the room when this record comes on and it just engulfs you in its darkness. When I opened the booklet to read the lyrics, I expected some evil shit but these fuckers put the lyrics in some kind of language like Latin or something I really have no idea but it looks fucking evil and adds to the overall feel of it for sure. So I have no clue what they are saying but I can tell this band is not fucking around and they mean everything they are saying, whatever it is! They make no apologies!
The production on this is great; it’s not too polished and not too raw.  It’s just right in that sweet spot in between, giving it a very natural feeling. Lots of dynamics on this too it’s not just bashing in your ear drums the whole time with one nonstop blast beat it really twists and turns going up and down through different planes of sound really setting the landscape up that you can see when you close your eyes and listen to this. At times I feel like I’m on the wings of a dragon flying over Mordor in Lord of the Rings and at other times I feel like I am falling into the abyss of hell! This record will be stuck in my car stereo for some time I can tell you that! And this is definitely going to be in my albums of the year list!
Overall I give this record a 10/10

Motherslug - Review!

OK first off if you have never heard Motherslug before you are seriously missing out! This band takes you into the world of Deep Purple meets Black Sabbath meets Blue Oyster Cult and so many more different influences i can hear mixed up in this. They pull you into this fuzzed out psychedelic world of sound that literally makes you feel stoned and yes its on vinyl ( i know you were already wondering!) You can purchase this album from the epic NopSlip Records and the packaging is superb! The album came with buttons, stickers and all kinds of stuff. It's pressed on a beautiful splatter wax design and from what i have heard every album is unique and different as well. Grooving riffs, catchy songwriting, and melodies wrap this album up into what i would totally give a 10/10 no shitting you on this one! hear it for yourself!
