MEPHORASH “1557 – Rites Of Nullification"

MEPHORASH “1557 – Rites of Nullification"
Mephorash – Rites of Nullification
Ok right off the bat I can tell you this is some blackened (and I mean really black) death metal!
If you are a fan of Behemoth, Belphegor or Nightbringer you are going to love this! These tracks whip around you like a hurricane of twisted souls, demons and just black matter.  You really feel like the lights dim in the room when this record comes on and it just engulfs you in its darkness. When I opened the booklet to read the lyrics, I expected some evil shit but these fuckers put the lyrics in some kind of language like Latin or something I really have no idea but it looks fucking evil and adds to the overall feel of it for sure. So I have no clue what they are saying but I can tell this band is not fucking around and they mean everything they are saying, whatever it is! They make no apologies!
The production on this is great; it’s not too polished and not too raw.  It’s just right in that sweet spot in between, giving it a very natural feeling. Lots of dynamics on this too it’s not just bashing in your ear drums the whole time with one nonstop blast beat it really twists and turns going up and down through different planes of sound really setting the landscape up that you can see when you close your eyes and listen to this. At times I feel like I’m on the wings of a dragon flying over Mordor in Lord of the Rings and at other times I feel like I am falling into the abyss of hell! This record will be stuck in my car stereo for some time I can tell you that! And this is definitely going to be in my albums of the year list!
Overall I give this record a 10/10
