Thine Inner Sanctum - Dark Sky Weeping - Reviewed By Arrepio Producoes ! Check it out here at this link: https://arrepioproducoes.com.br/noticias/?n=sZzGeU1NXg FFO -  Early My Dying Bride, Paradise Lost, Draconian, Evadne, Celtic Frost, Emperor Open your ears to hear a voice thick with sorrow & open your eyes to only see the sin... Thine Inner Sanctum - A dark musical void of the psyche. What started out as a few demos soon bore some darkened fruit and Thine Inner Sanctum was born. Thine Inner Sanctum is a blackened Doom project hailing from Glasgow, Scotland. Primarily a one man venture Thine Inner Sanctum started their musical journey in August 2019, by January 2020 a five track demo EP  titled  'Entwined With a Dying Light' had surfaced and was then sent out to various independent labels on the simple basis of getting some outside feedback, at the time. Much to their surprise however it was very swiftly picked up by Edinburgh based extreme metal label Ancient Entity Records . Within a few months of release both Ancient Entity and TIS had sold out…This then begged the question when was its follow up coming out? Fast forward to May 2021 and the sophomore effort ‘Dark Sky Weeping’ was released. This was again released through Ancient Entity Records but this time there was a bit of a buzz. Since release there has been very positive feedback. With DSW reaching close to a thousand streams via the  Order ov the black arts YouTube channel,  it appears that people are taking notice…. Sound wise TIS are not afraid to wear their influences on their sleeve for all to see. Taking a lot of inspiration from early 90's doom stalwarts, My Dying Bride and Paradise lost . However at its  Death doom core there is a harsh underlying violence harkening back to Celtic Frost and the first wave  of black metal influencing on early Emperor and Darkthrone . These influences shine through on tracks such as 'Dark Sky Weeping' , Three 'times denied' and 'Abyss of thine' a total nod to Celtic Frost's dreary yet epic 'Obscured' from their swansong release 'Monotheist' Production is lofi, raw and visceral,  Lyrical content is bleak and hopeless but in all the right places - Exactly what you want from an artist with the dangerous duality  of old skool doom and black metal. ICYMI: The new video from Dead Soul Revival - "Down for the Last Time" Is Now Available! Watch it now on YouTube! Check it out here at this link: https://music.deadsoulrevival.com/link/vark87 February 27, 2021 (Los Angeles, CA) -- Dead Soul Revival is a hard rock/post grunge band formed by vocalist/guitarist Matt Clark and drummer Scott Freak (both formerly of Freakhouse) and bassist Kendall Clark. The band is currently in the studio preparing their debut album  Ignite. Check out the lyric video for 'Black Roses'! “For our first single we let the fans vote to pick their favorite,” says Kendall. “What they immediately react to is very important to us. Available on all digital outlets and streaming services.” Spotify: https://spoti.fi/2NVRjts Apple Music: https://apple.co/381a7OQ “One thing we really wanted to get across to people on this album is that you have the power to make your life what you want it be.” says Scott. “Don’t listen to the people who hold you down. You’re better off without them.” Matt adds, “Just recently I finished up my parts for  Ignite . Which is a really good thing because a couple of weeks ago I broke my back. I was at the ski resort Mountain High that’s just north of Los Angeles. The good news is there was no injury to my spinal cord so I’ll have fully recovered within a month or so. I am very grateful to those who have reached out with their concern and well wishes.” “We’re really stoked to be working with mastering engineer Maor Appelbaum (Faith No More, Dream Theater, Halford) and artist Mike Cortada (Avatar, I Prevail, Fall Out Boy). They’ve helped us to fulfill our vision for this record,” says Kendall. Ultra Void - Wins Battle Of The Bands Again This Week On MDR! - @thebeast

ICYMI: Ultra Void - Wins Battle Of The Bands This Week On MDR! Coming in with a devastating 5,052 votes! FRAZER JONES @ DOOM CHARTS: Heavy raw stoner rock/proto-metal grooves with a delightful funky undercurrent, the five songs that make up this release are coated in vocals that sometimes border on harsh but are saved from being unlistenable thanks to the clarity of the vocalists delivery and the off-kilter quirkiness of the music that surrounds that delivery. If your looking for something a little out of the ordinary, a little left of field and a little off the beaten path then you can’t go far wrong by putting a few coins this bands way. File under weird and wonderful! JORDAN JERABEK @ HEAVY BLOG IS HEAVY: Skewing to the bluesier side of stoner metal, Brooklyn’s Ultra Void deliver a unique measure of beefy fuzz, trippy effects, and catchy hooks. What hit me immediately were these, for lack of a better descriptor, porny guitar tones. They’re dirty. They’re greasy. The wah’s are well-worn and begging for mercy. Tone-wise, it’s probable to end up amongst the nastiest fuzzified shit this year, and what’s more is how it’s backed by this intriguing Rob Zombie-type horror campiness. Vocalist FlipMan’s delivery has that distinctive Zombie flavor and affectation, borderline harsh yet easily discernible, rhythmically bouncy and punchy. The package offers a kind of dive bar flavor, “HellFire” churns on a gritty shuffle, “Tsunami” hits like groovy Monster Magnet covering an Eyehategod song, while centerpiece “Swamp of Doom” is a theatrical Alice Cooper-esque spin on a seven-minute doom standard. The cover of Thin Lizzy’s “Gonna Creep Up On You” is totally fucking choice, complementary to their dark lyrical content, bass-forward funkiness, and retro flair. I can’t emphasize how refreshing it is to hear a lesser known Thin Lizzy cover, too (no more “Emerald” please). I’ve been spending quite a bit of time with this one primarily because it’s got some nice groove, but also because it’s just a weirdly fun doom record. I just can’t put it down. Up On You: Lynott, Bell Ultra Void by Ultra Void

GOAT SANCTUARY - Chthonic - Reviewed by ODYMETAL! - @thebeast

FYI: GOAT SANCTUARY - Chthonic - Reviewed by ODYMETAL ! Check it out here at this link: https://odymetal.blogspot.com/2021/06/goat-sanctuary-chthonic.html It's off with an American band of 4 musicians from Seattle, called GOAT SANCTUARY and releasing a new EP entitled "Chthonic" in a Thrash metal register, evolving in a rather old school influence with an alternation of moderate and tonic tempos and a song that would be between death and rough thrash. "Cthulhu" would be in the vein of a hardcore Thrash sprinkled with more death touches, heavy guitars and an atmosphere that can be darker. "Hail To The Goat" at the moderate start, will reveal an aria of SOUNDGARDEN that will be amplified by the clear singing metal version that will be added to the tonic register of Thrash Metal. On the other hand, an inspiration from the first SEPULTURA will be felt on the titles "Shark Teeth", "Drain The Blood" and "Out Of The Light" which will make us make a good back. An EP with the first two tracks that would be a little more sophisticated. The last 3 titles are clear and precise by taking the direction of the beginnings of SEPULTURA. This shows that the group is still hesitating on the direction to take. To discover for thrash lovers and a group to follow. MONKEYMETAL aka Troll / ODYMETAL / the 18.06.2021. - ODYMETAL Brutal Thrash Metal The musicians in Goat Sanctuary are from the Seattle area and bonded over their shared passions for Metal. Each member brings a unique musical aesthetic to the band. The new EP CHTHONIC was written by Goat Sanctuary, produced by Boomdust and mixed/mastered by Seattle legend, Jack Endino. Goat Sanctuary was born out of the dark winters of Seattle to explore the deepest sounds of Thrash Metal brought by a diverse array of influences each member has to offer. One of the earliest Cacophonous releases, the Americans’ only album "Decadent Delirium" was a thrilling rush of untutored aggression and vein-popping fretwork that, with hindsight, clearly paved the way for Death Metal’s creative rejuvenation in the early 21st century. Brilliantly twisted stuff and a telling statement of intent from Cacophonous." (Dom Lawson - Metal Hammer) - [ READ THE FULL ARTICLE ] Blast these tracks here!   PSYCHIC PAWN: Bobby Chavez: Vocals & Bass Micha Kite: Guitars Victor Morell: Guitars Steve Dorssom: Drums     THRASHBACK RECORDS is pleased to announce that this May we will be releasing a 2-CD collection from the Phoenix, AZ based Death Metal quartet PSYCHIC PAWN titled "Eulogy: The Complete Anthology".   Formed in 1989, PSYCHIC PAWN would release two highly acclaimed demos, "Expedient Demise" in 1991 and "Wake Of Entity" in 1992. "Wake Of Entity" would catch the attention of England's Cacophonous Records and would release the three track 7" E.P. "Disgorged Suppuration" in late 1993.   In 1993 Cacophonous Records would sign the band and release their debut album "Decadent Delirium" November of 1994 (produced by Bill Metoyer) to much acclaim. Unfortunately this would be the bands only album release. After the demise of PSYCHIC PAWN the members would go on to form other acclaimed bands such as BORN OF FIRE and IMAGES OF EDEN.   "Eulogy: The Complete Anthology" compiles all of the bands studio recordings with remastering handled by Rob Colwell at Bombworks Sound. They all agreed to meet and jam and the rest is history, Hanz Krypt was Born! Soon to be joined by John Cochran (Vermin, L.S.N., Granite Waves) on 2nd guitar and Robbie Wolfe on vocals. This lineup lasted 6 months until the direction that Hanz Krypt and the direction that John Cochran wanted to go was different. John preferring the newer speed thrash metal and Hanz Krypt who stayed true to their dark gloomy Black Sabbath roots. They parted ways with their friend John and he went on to form the L.A. thrash metal band Vermin along with Vince Ferrantino on Vocals. Larry Farkas was added to Hanz Krypt as a second guitar player and both bands went on to play shows together in the LA area . Shortly after that they knew Vince was the frontman vocalist they were looking for so they asked Vince to leave Vermin and join Hanz Krypt... the rest is history.... "We take pride in this reissue that features all 12 songs that were ever recorded by the band plus a fat booklet featuring photos of the old days, lyrics and complete story on the band. "RH burst out with Paper Blood in 2005- a furiously melodic gem which playfully danced among 80s hard rock, prog metal, and power metal. John West charges through these tracks with an arena-ready voice of the gods and he's the main reason why there's an 80s flavor to this, aside from the guitar crunch and attitude. His voice isn't quite as operatic as most power metal singers and isn't as clean as most prog metal singers. Instead, he sounds more like a huskier Bon Jovi or any number of AOR vocalists, which isn't a bad thing. Get it out of your head right now that that's a bad thing. Throughout the entire album the keyboards buzz right through your body, severing bone and muscle in the most pleasurable way possible. They're not brutal, but the tone used is so heavy and astral that it makes you think twice about pissing on them as leading instruments. If you're going to listen to music like this, you should expect to hear keyboards and like them in healthy quantities. The good thing is that this album loves them, but they're not flowery and there's a solid riff base supporting all this. I dare you to sit through any of the three instrumentals without going through the rest of your life with a brain of fried mush. Lyrically, Paper Blood is about money and how it practically runs through all of our veins, capillaries, and arteries, figuratively speaking. It took me a while to figure out what the hell paper blood is, but when it dawned on me it was marvelous. The social consciousness prog is known for is well on display here, rest assured. Songs such as "Break Your Chains"(which was nominated for a best metal song on a list a couple years ago) and "Never Give Up" also deliver powerful messages of self-actualization and self-empowerment. We sure need that nowadays. Royal Hunt continue to show they are a unique voice in progressive metal, striking a steady balance between brawn and elegance, retro and modern". - review by Necrobobsledder / www.metal-archives.com   Connect with ROYAL HUNT: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/royalhuntmusic Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/royalhunt Twitter: https://twitter.com/royalhuntband [Source: https://royalhunt.com/paper-blood-reissue-2021  ]  Contact: info@northpoint-productions.com

Al-Namrood - Kitab Al Awthan - Featured At Mtview Zine ! Check it out here at this link: https://www.mtview.site/2021/06/al-namrood-kitab-al-awthan-black-metal.html FFO - Batushka, Krzysztof Drabikowski, Mgła Originally released in 2012 by Al-Namrood, this album is now coming out for the first time on vinyl on July 21 2021 in its original sound. The vinyl will be limited to 300 with 200 being black and 100 being splatter orange/black.  That (Black) Metal has found its way into the most remote places in the world is nothing new. Saudi Arabia, however, is still a specialty, after all, it is certainly no picnic to produce such music in an Islamic state of God. Nonetheless, curious and open-minded listeners of extreme musical styles should risk an ear, because AL-NAMROOD is definitely well thought-out - Metal.de Offers a lot more than Black Metal with a few oriental sprinkles. Here, too, the black art is coherently interwoven with Arabic rhythms and melodies, creating a very unique sound from which the Norwegian roots rarely emerge. The mixture turns out to be extremely catchy and atmospherically gripping, and works in both mid-tempo and faster pace. - Powermetal.de I wish I could tell you what the song titles mean, but my Arabic is a little rusty. But I can tell you what they sound like. They sound like a massive sandstorm sweeping across the Arabian peninsula. - No Clean Singing That's presumably because it's a lot easier to be in an anti-Christian metal band in the US, than in an anti-Islamic metal band in Saudi Arabia. In America, your obstacles extend to overhearing your mom tell a friend you're just "going through a phase." In Saudi Arabia, you face social ostracism and the possibility of imprisonment or death. - Vice News Released January 20, 2012 Kitab Al Awthan by Al-Namrood Also be sure to check out this video! Al-Namrood - Kitab Al Awthan - Reviewed By OccultBlackMetalZine ! Check it out here at this link: http://occultblackmetalzine.blogspot.com/2021/06/alnamroodkitab-al-awthanshaytan.html This  is  a  review  of  an  older  recording  from  Saudi  Arabia's  AlNamrood  which  shows  the  music  being  black  metal  mixed  in  with  elements  of  oriental  folk  music  and  the  album was  originally  released  in  2021  by  Shaytan  Productions  and  is  going  to  be  re-issued  on vinyl  in  2021  by  Shaytan  Productions.   A  very  epic  keyboard  orientated  sound  starts  off  the  album  which  also  mixes  in  with  the  heavier  sections  of  the  music  at  times.  When  guitar  solos  and  leads  are  utilized  they  are  also  done  in  a  very  dark  and  melodic  style  while  elements  of  oriental  and  arabic  folk  music  are  also  utilized  quite  a  bit  throughout  the  recording.   Vocals  are  mostly  grim  yet  high  pitched  black  metal  screams  while  some  of  the  tracks  are  also  long  and  epic  in  length.  When  the  music  speeds  up  a  decent  amount  of  tremolo  picking  and  blast  beats  can  be  heard  which  also  gives  the  songs  more  of  a  raw  feeling  along  with the  percussion  also  giving  the  songs  more  oa  a  tribal  atmosphere  when  they  are  utilized.   The  riffs  also  add  in  a  decent  amount  of  melody  along  with  the  songs  also  sticking  mostly  to  either  a  slow  or  mid  tempo  direction  as  well  as  the  tracks  also  mixing  in  Nordic  influences  with  an  Arabic  twist  on  the  genre.  The  production  sounds  very  dark  and  raw  while  the  lyrics  are  written  in Arabic  and  cover  Ancient  History,  Evil,  Darkness  and  Anti  Religion  themes.   In  my  opinion  this  is  another  great  sounding  recording  from  AlNamrood  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  black  metal  with  elements  of  oriental  folk  music,  you  should  check  out  this  re-issue.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Min  Trab  Al  Jahel"  "Kiram  Al  Nataiaa"  and  "Bani  Le  em".  8  out  of  10. - OccultBlackMetalZine FFO - Batushka, Krzysztof Drabikowski, Mgła Originally released in 2012 by Al-Namrood, this album is now coming out for the first time on vinyl on July 21 2021 in its original sound. ICYMI: GOAT SANCTUARY - Chthonic - Reviewed by ODYMETAL ! New Promo: LUNAR WOODS - Dead End - (Stoner/Alternative/Post-Grunge) - @thebeast

Release Date: June17, 2021 FFO: Deftones, Alice in chains, tool, Elephant Tree, Fire Down Below Few words about the band: Desert Rock from the frozen depths of Russian Forests.  Our sound could be described as Stoner Metal spiced with DEFTONES emotions, grungy ALICE IN CHAINS tones and progressive vibes of TOOL. We had a few years-long hiatus. Now we reborn with the new lineup and the new sound. Now our music is heavier and more progressive. Last two years we polished our new release.  ‘Dead End’ is the first single from our upcoming album. It is a fuzzy song about relations. Not love one. Check out the video! Few words about ‘Dead End’ single: The track brings up the subject of relations with people who disappear from our lives for different reasons. The ways suddenly part and each one continues living their own life. The unpleasant aftertaste and bad feelings are what remain deep inside. In general, the song expresses the idea that relationships between people sometimes simply do not work, however much you want to believe the opposite. Lost time and unreasonable hopes start driving you mad. Self-scrutiny and useless ambivalences can only give rise to anger, incomprehension and feeling of being isolated. Pieces of the puzzle do not fell into place, and everything simply stops moving. The feeling of a dead end, of being pushed into the corner makes a man weak and vulnerable. This feeling is alien to a human. That is why in such situations one just wants to let it go and move forward. The mood of the song seems like a blamestorming. Though, if you make a deep dive, the song is more about something different. The second part of the song, which is flowing from the first one, gives this sense of sorrow and despair hanging in the air. Spiro says that this will be the last time she will do the fest. “I hope people come out for it. The bands need it. The fans need it. The production people need it. But one thing I learned after this last year is that I personally do not have to be the one to do these events any more. It’s a ton of work, a lot of risk financially and emotionally, and I am just not interested in carrying that mantle forward any longer. I would love it if someone created a new camping music fest nearby that I could go to and enjoy. But Shadow Woods as people have come to know it will be laid to rest after 2021.”   Organizers are taking COVID-19 precautions seriously. They state: We are requiring all attendees show proof of vaccination for Covid-19 at registration. If this is not possible, rapid COVID testing will be available for a fee upon entry. Covid-19 prevention protocols will be in effect throughout the weekend, including masking, hand washing, and physical distancing in crowded situations and will reflect the local, state and federal recommendations at the time of the fest. The fest will have trained medical professionals on site and if anyone tests positive for COVID or has any indicative symptoms such as a fever, coughing, chills, extreme fatigue, etc., we ask that you STAY HOME or leave the fest immediately, even if it is last minute.  Everyone will be required to sign the typical camp liability waiver that we have used every year, but it will also include additional language and questions related to COVID to facilitate contract tracing, should that become necessary. We will be following whatever  federal and local recommended protocols and guidelines for COVID safety that are in place at the time of the fest. All this is subject to change based on the current situation with the pandemic. Rapid Covid-19 testing will be provided by The CrewWorks based in Baltimore, MD. The CrewWorks is an event crew services company that added its own Covid-19 testing laboratory through the State of Maryland in order to offer reduced cost testing to ensure that the entertainment industry can go back to work safely.  Send an email to crew@thecrewworks.com with the word “SW21” in the subject line and copy Mary Spiro at shadow.woods.llc@gmail.com and you will be sent instructions on how to reserve and pre-pay for a test. Testing cost is $25 in advance, or $35 at the gate. Tests purchased are non-refundable, but they are transferable. ANTOLOGI - Interviewed By Breathing The Core! - @thebeast

ICYMI: ANTOLOGI - Interviewed By Breathing The Core ! Check it out here at this link: http://www.breathingthecore.com/2021/06/interviews-antologi.html Band: ANTOLOGI Country: Singapore Album Title: Chronicles Of Catastrophes Format: Audio CD Date of Release: 30/06/21 Label: Vrykoblast Production Check out this video of their new single! Antologi is a Death Thrash Metal band from Singapore . Formed in mid 2009, the group was founded by then-guitarist Bob Shahid, guitarist Load Sham, drummer Remi Hamdi and bassist Adi Reaper.  Antologi went through several lineup changes over the years, with Load Sham and Adi Reaper as the only original members of the band that is left since it’s inception. Since 2016, the band has comprised of Load Sham and Suhaimi Hanafi on guitars, Afique Romie on vocals, bassist Adi Reaper and drummer Eddie Fendi. Started out as a Heavy / Thrash Metal band, Antologi eventually went to play Thrash Metal and then became a Death Thrash Metal band. Formation & Early Releases ( 2009 – 2012 ) The band was formed when former high school mates Adi Reaper, Bob Shahid, Remi Hamdi and Load Sham met up again after many years and decided to form a band as they shared a strong common interest in Heavy / Thrash Metal and began writing songs together. Yet to have a vocalist, auditions was held and eventually Ash Jasz was recruited to be the frontman. In 2010, Antologi recorded a single title “Khazanah Hayat“ and was recorded in Malay, Singapore’s National Language. It was widely accepted by the Heavy Metal community in Singapore. Early 2011, Ash Jasz left the band due to some personal matters. His position was filled up by Afique Romie former vocalist of Singapore Heavy Metal band called Rockvival. Antologi entered Studio 47 (Singapore) to record their 1st full length album in September 2011 and in April 2012 “Arah Perjalanan“ was released. Consisted of 8 tracks of pure Heavy Metal.  Couple of months after the released of the album, Bob Shahid and Remi Hamdi decided to leave the band due to work and family commitments. Maruah CD Single (2012 - 2015) Adi Reaper, Load Sham & Afique Romie decided to move forward with the band and replacements was found in a couple of weeks. Suhaimi Hanafi formerly of Dethmute and current member of Metalheadz join on guitars and Juraimi Mohd formerly of Sige-Sige & Ascend on drums. With this line up, Antologi went to play several gigs locally and also went to Pekanbaru, Indonesia to headline Pekanbaru Berisik 3 festival in 2013. At the end of 2013, Antologi headed to the studio and recorded a 2 tracks CD single title “Maruah” which contains 2 tracks “Maruah“ and “Jeritan Di Gaza“. In October 2015, Antologi was invited to performed at Daimonous Open Air, Bali Extreme Music Festival which was headline by Behemoth . Juraimi Mohd was unavailable for the gig and Wann Alip from the band Kraton session for Antologi on drums. In November 2015, Antologi also opened for Swedish band, Enforcer for their South East Asia Tour at the Substation, Singapore. After the Enforcer gig, Juraimi Mohd left the band due to personal reasons . Berjuang ( 2016 – 2018 ) Searching for a replacement drummer, Adi Reaper had contacted a longtime friend, Eddie Fendi of former Death Metal band Castigate and Brutal Fear and current drummer of Vrykolakas . In April 2016 Eddie Fendi make his official debut as Antologi drummer during Sumatra Invasion Tour of Padang, Pekanbaru & Medan, Indonesia. Touring together with Antologi was Heremod ( Singapore’s Black Death Metal band ). A compilation of previous singles and album title “ Incursion “ was also released during the Sumatra Invasion Tour and only for the Sumatran Metalheads. Continuing to play couple of gigs in Batam, Indonesia and also locally in Singapore in early 2017, Antologi started to write some new songs for the upcoming album. In early 2018, Antologi went back to Studio 47 to record “Berjuang“ , 2nd full length album. Consisting of 8 tracks altogether also a cover of Postmortem “Waiting For The Funeral“ the album was launch in November 2018. After the released of the album Antologi went to headline “RokanHulu Metal Fest“ in Medan, Indonesia, “Freedom Ov Hell“ gig at Jakarta, Indonesia and “Ready For Blood“ Metalfest in Medan, Indonesia throughout 2019. Pandemic & Chronicles of Catastrophes ( 2019 – 2021 ) Antologi went to Penang, Malaysia in March 2020 to performed for the 1st time in Penang at        “Northern Brothers Ov Metal“ Metal Fest with Inferno ( Czechia ), fellow Singapore’s Black Metal band Majusiah & Symphony Jimbalang ( Penang ) and it turns out to be Antologi performance before the World hit by the CoranaVirus and most countries went into lockdown. As the pandemic hits the whole world, Antologi took the opportunity to finishing up writing new songs for the new album and a total of 16 new songs have been written. In November 2020, Antologi once again entered Studio 47 ( Singapore ) to record the new album. GOAT SANCTUARY - Chthonic - Reviewed by ODYMETAL! - @thebeast

GOAT SANCTUARY - Chthonic - Reviewed by ODYMETAL ! Note, if you plan to stay overnight, you must also purchase a camping or cabin pass.  The fest will take place at its traditional location, Camp Hidden Valley (at Deer Creek Preserve ), a wooded, 200-acre property about 45 minutes north of Baltimore that hosts everything from weddings to children’s summer camps. Attendees may drive from home, camp, or stay in nearby hotels or private rentals. Check the website for any cabin options that may be available, but many are already sold out.  Ticket holders should watch their emails for important updates about the fest.  Event organizer M. A.
