Gunpoint Syndicate is an alternative metal band based out of Nashville, TN similar to Sevendust and Breaking Benjamin. Formed in 2021 by Brennan Colbert, a multi-instrumentalist and US Army veteran. Crushing the polls with a devastating 9,012 votes! They are a five-piece modern metal/metalcore band from Munich. They formed back in 2015. To this day, they released one EP and three albums, produced and released all by their selves. Their newest release "The Darkest Shade of Light" is the product of three years of hard work. It sets another, more mature path compared to its predecessors, lyric-wise and music-wise. They focused more on atmosphere, tension, and brutality, which is also noticeable in the lyrics. Around the three main songs (The Darkest Shade of Light Part I-III), which can be heard as one track entirely, they created thematic matching tracks, which deal with the various facets of human corruptions.  Their sound is hard to categorize. It ranges from melodic death metal/metalcore over hardcore techno to slightly black metal influences. They call it simply modern metal.
